Goodbye

I saw her blood on my hands.
Red, like rubies... Pure, clean...

Her dead figure lies on the floor, 3 meters away from me
Slumped, oddly bent.
Her face frozen in terror
Her eyes, once brimming with fear, lie cold in her sockets

Her hair, soft and golden, stained with splashes of blood
Her tears, warm and sweet, still drop slowly from her now-dead face

Her hands clutch the small charm I gave her

I slowly walk towards her body
She should have known
She could have known

What was once happy memories come flooding into my mind
Running through the fields
Playing in the grass
Flying small kites
Feeding stray animals

I slowly lift her lifeless body
The bloody mess clings onto her body
Dripping off slowly
Little thick crystals of life death brings

I simply close her eyelids with my hands
And give her one last touch before I leave

Her face feels so cold
So, so cold

I can't think straight anymore

After all, they struck so fast

Her wound seemed to stop bleeding,
Yet the blood kept dripping from the side of her chest

Fatality

I still remember her smile
I still remember our promise

It was simple
To achieve our dreams
To set a bright future for ourselves
Work hard, earn money
Find ourselves both good spouses

After all, best friends stick forever, right?

My mind is in a daze

Something warm pools in my shoulder and head

Oh right, I've been shot too

I smile to myself

I fall to the floor, my vision getting blurred

Something red covers my left eye

I can't think anymore

There is no pain
No hurt

Memories of my life surprisingly leave from me

I cannot recall anything at all

I see her body right next to mine
I see the trail of my blood right next to hers

I smile once again

I feel cold
Cold, so cold

Yet I feel happy

Slowly, I fall asleep

Slowly, my eyes begin to close themselves

Cold, so cold
Sleepy, so sleepy

It's funny how it ends this way

I smile once again, and I am unable to process why

Why it feels so warm suddenly
Why my dreams visit me suddenly

Laying down there

Warm, so warm

It feels soothing

So soothing

Slowly I see her hand stretched out towards me
I reached out

And took it

Hello, I said

Goodbye
